Reservations are required for every tour we offer with Richmond Rides. Make reservations by clicking here. Food Tours require 6 people for the tour to happen. We'll contact you if we need to reschedule!
How do I Make a reservation?
Make a reservation by clicking here. If you are a larger party please contact us with your anticipated day and number of riders. If want to come on a tour but don't see the time you want available. Please call or email us! We don't want anyone to miss out on a tour with Richmond Rides!
What should I wear?
By all means please wear comfortable clothes. Street attire is great. Try to dress for the weather. If the temp is below 60, we recommend bringing gloves.
Does Richmond Rides provide bicycles and helmets?
We have a fleet of 30 Priority bicycles and helmets available for tours. We also have a Burley trail-a-bike and a trailer for children and several children's bicycles. Please email or call ahead to reserve the children's bicycles.
I'm pretty attached to my own bike. Can I bring my own bike?
You are welcome to bring your own bike if you want to. If you do bring your own bike, please let us know and don't forget your helmet! Don't forget to let us know when you book and you'll receive 10% off your booking for bringing your own bike.
How fit should I be?
If you can walk around for 2-3 hours at a moderate pace, stopping often to see views and eat good food, you’ll be golden.
Do you have tours in the winter months?
Just like skiing or ice skating, biking is awesome when its cold. Make sure to dress warmly and bring gloves.

I'm taking the bus. How do I get to the start of your tour in Church Hill?
Coming from downtown Richmond, take the following buses going east towards Church Hill.
Going right by Jefferson Ave/Union Market: 45, 43, 7 Request a stop just after....
Going down Marshall: 44, 41, 51 (Marshall and 22nd is closest and then walk up 22nd. Right on Jefferson, Right on Clay) Request a stop just after turning right on Marshall off 21st.
Do I tip the Guide?
Tips are always appreciated!
A gratuity of 10% will be added to groups of 6 or more.
What happens if it rains?
Our tours run rain or shine and we have rain ponchos available for $1 if the need arises. Please check the weather before coming and dress accordingly!
How long are the rides?
Church Hill Signature Tour is 2 hours long.
Foodie Tour is 3 hours long.
Richmond Highlights Tour is 2.5 hours long.
Along the River Tour is 2 hours long.
What is your cancellation policy?
We’ll give you a full refund if you cancel at least 72 hours before your scheduled tour.
Should I bring water or do you provide it?
We provide water on all our tours.
Are Richmond Rides Bike Tours Appropriate for Children?
YES! Children older than 1 have loved coming on our tours. We have 1 Burley Trail a Bike, a trailer, and several children's bicycles that children can use when riding with us. Please call us to arrange use of the trailer, Trail a Bike or other bicycles. We do have one Chariot if you have younger children and want to bring them.
What if I have a food allergy?
We make every effort to accommodate food allergies. The Church Hill Signature Tour has Vegan options at every food stop and Gluten Free options at 1 stop.
